Terms of Service

Agreement and eligibility

These Terms of Service version 2 form an agreement between you and Rafal Borzemski, the operator of dmc at Wrocław, Poland. By creating an account or continuing to use dmc, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. Do not create or use an account if local law prohibits you from doing so. dmc is currently provided without a subscription fee; optional support does not buy extra features or preferential treatment.

Accounts and access

You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your email account, sign-in links, provider credentials, and devices secure. Tell me promptly at privacy@datemycode.com if you believe the account has been compromised.

Provide accurate information, keep it reasonably current, and use dmc only for yourself. I may require a new sign-in or reasonable verification to protect an account or process a sensitive request.

• Do not create an account for another person, impersonate someone, or misrepresent your age or identity.
• Do not sell, transfer, share, or commercially exploit an account or access credential.
• You are responsible for checking that your profile, notification, and device settings match your choices.

Profiles and public visibility

Members can see profile details needed for introductions and conversations. A public scan link is intentionally more limited: an anonymous visitor receives only the display name, derived age, verified badge status, and main public photo.

A person who receives or discovers a working public link can share it. Search engines are told not to index scan-profile pages, but technical instructions cannot guarantee that a link, screenshot, or copied information will stay private.

• Choose profile text and photos that you are comfortable sharing with the relevant audience.
• Do not publish another person’s private or identifying information without permission.
• Public event pages are open and indexable, including the event host’s display name.
• Removing content stops future delivery by dmc but cannot recall copies already saved or shared by someone else.

Codes, links, and usernames

Your QR code, generated code, and optional username may point people to a public scan profile. Keep control of where you publish them and regenerate or pause access if a code is exposed somewhere you no longer trust.

I may reject, reserve, change, or disable names and links that are misleading, unlawful, infringing, unsafe, or needed for service operation.

• Pausing the code disables both the generated alias and its attached username route.
• Regenerating replaces the generated alias and moves the active username, if any, to the replacement.
• Removing a username does not disable a generated alias that someone already knows.
• A released username is permanently reserved and will not be issued again, including to the previous account holder.

Introductions, conversations, and consent

Requests, acceptances, blocks, and messages help people manage contact. Respect every person’s choices and stop contacting someone who declines, blocks, withdraws, or asks you to stop.

You decide whether and how to meet. dmc does not arrange, supervise, endorse, or guarantee an interaction between members.

• A scan, request, match, accepted conversation, or verification badge is not consent to sexual, romantic, physical, or off-platform contact.
• Consent must be voluntary, specific, informed, current, and can be withdrawn at any time.
• Do not evade a block or create another account to contact someone.
• Use reporting and blocking controls when appropriate, send safety or abuse notices to abuse@datemycode.com, and contact local emergency services for immediate danger.

Community conduct

I may investigate or act on conduct on dmc and, where relevant to safety or abuse, related conduct connected to use of the service.

• No harassment, threats, stalking, coercion, hate, humiliation, or unwanted sexual conduct.
• No exploitation, trafficking, solicitation of commercial sexual services, content involving minors, or non-consensual intimate imagery.
• No impersonation, fraud, scams, deceptive promotion, spam, or manipulation of another person.
• No unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or privacy-invasive content or activity.
• No publishing or soliciting passwords, financial credentials, precise live locations, or another person’s sensitive data without a lawful reason and permission.
• No malware, scraping, automated account creation, unauthorized bots, reverse engineering for abuse, or attempts to bypass access controls or rate limits.
• No interference with the service, security testing without written authorization, or access to data or accounts you are not permitted to use.
• No use of dmc to advertise, recruit, or conduct commercial activity without my written permission.
• No deliberately unsafe, fraudulent, or unlawful events; comply with applicable law and reasonable safety or moderation instructions.

Your content

You retain rights you already hold in profile text, photos, messages, event material, and other content you submit. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit and share it through dmc.

You grant dmc a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, create technical image renditions and requested QR or preview cards, transmit, and show that content only as needed to provide, secure, moderate, and maintain the service. The license ends when the content is deleted from active systems, subject to other users’ copies, legal retention, and provider backup expiry.

• This license does not transfer ownership of your content to dmc.
• You are responsible for the content you submit and the audience you choose.
• I may remove, restrict, preserve, or disclose content when reasonably necessary for safety, enforcement, legal compliance, or service integrity.
• Feedback about dmc may be used without payment or confidentiality obligations, unless I agree otherwise in writing.

Events and meeting safety

Public event listings are informational. A host is responsible for the listing’s accuracy, necessary permissions, venue arrangements, lawful operation, and reasonable attendee safety. Unless a listing expressly says otherwise, dmc is not the event organizer, venue, ticket seller, security provider, or representative of a host.

Exercise independent judgment before sharing information, travelling, paying anyone, or meeting. You remain responsible for your decisions and compliance with venue rules and local law.

• Check event details, accessibility, costs, entry rules, cancellations, and host identity independently.
• Consider meeting in a public place, telling a trusted person, arranging your own transport, and keeping control of food, drinks, money, and devices.
• Do not send money, credentials, or sensitive documents because another member asks.
• Leave an interaction and seek help if you feel unsafe; contact local emergency services for urgent danger.
• dmc does not perform identity, criminal-record, or background checks merely because a profile has a meet-verification badge.

Reports, moderation, and enforcement

To notify me of allegedly illegal content, email abuse@datemycode.com. Identify the exact URL, account, event, message, or other electronic location; explain sufficiently why you believe it is illegal; give your name and email unless applicable law permits an identity-free notice for specified child-sexual-abuse offences; and state your good-faith belief that the notice is accurate and complete. I acknowledge notices and communicate the decision and available redress without undue delay through the documented moderation process. I do not promise to monitor every interaction or resolve every dispute.

Enforcement decisions may use judgment and can include warnings, content restrictions, feature limits, code or username changes, suspension, or account termination.

• Submit reports honestly, identify the specific material, and provide information you reasonably believe is accurate and complete.
• Do not weaponize reports, coordinate false reports, or retaliate against a reporter.
• I may prioritize immediate safety and service integrity while an issue is reviewed.
• Where applicable law requires an explanation, appeal, or complaint route for a moderation decision, I will provide it.

The service and third parties

I may add, change, pause, or discontinue features to improve, secure, or operate dmc. I will use proportionate notice when a material change reasonably requires it.

Authentication, Cloudflare Turnstile for email-request abuse prevention, hosting, storage, email, push delivery, maps or device capabilities, and linked sites may be supplied by third parties under their own terms. Google sign-in is outside Turnstile coverage. dmc is not responsible for third-party services outside its control.

• I do not promise permanent availability of a username, code, event, integration, or feature.
• Maintenance, security response, provider incidents, and events beyond reasonable control can interrupt access.
• You may need a compatible browser, device, network connection, and current software.
• The Privacy Policy explains the providers and processing used to operate dmc.

Pausing, leaving, and account deletion

You may pause your public code or request account deletion by emailing privacy@datemycode.com from the account email where possible. I may verify a deletion request to prevent unauthorized loss.

For deletion, dmc removes photo storage objects before deleting the authentication user so related database records—including in-app reports and account moderation actions—can cascade safely. Separately retained privacy or abuse mailbox correspondence follows the retention, erasure, and legal-hold rules in the Privacy Policy. Released usernames remain as permanent de-identified tombstones, and isolated provider backups may persist until routine expiry.

• Stopping use does not automatically delete an account or content.
• I may suspend or terminate access for a breach, safety risk, legal requirement, prolonged operational need, or threat to the service.
• Terms that by their nature should survive—such as content responsibility, enforcement records, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law—continue after termination.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, dmc is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. I do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free content, compatibility, successful introductions, attendance, safety, or a particular result.

A meet-verification badge records only that the configured number of distinct accounts completed dmc’s proximity flow. It is not proof of legal identity, document-verified age, background, intentions, trustworthiness, compatibility, or safety.

• Use your own judgment and take reasonable precautions in online and real-world interactions.
• Member and event-host statements are their own and are not endorsements by dmc.
• Nothing in these terms excludes warranties, remedies, or liability that applicable law does not allow me to exclude.

Liability, governing law, and disputes

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, dmc and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for losses caused by other users, event hosts, third parties, unauthorized access, or events outside reasonable control. This does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without depriving a consumer of mandatory protections of the country where they habitually reside. Courts have jurisdiction under applicable procedural and consumer law.

• Contact me first at privacy@datemycode.com; many issues can be resolved directly without formal proceedings.
• These terms do not require arbitration and do not waive a right to participate in a class or collective action where that right applies.
• EU consumers may also use available public consumer-advice or dispute-resolution bodies, subject to their current jurisdiction and rules.

Changes to these terms

The current terms are published at this URL with an effective date. I will provide proportionate notice through dmc or account contact information before a material change when appropriate.

• A change does not retroactively remove rights that applicable law already gives you.
• If you do not accept a future material change, stop using dmc and request deletion before it takes effect.
